Cab Safe
Have you ever had trouble finding a taxi after a night out? Well this should no longer be a problem! All you need to do is send a text with the word “CAB” to:
You will then receive a reply with the contact details of the three closest licensed taxi companies.
This will ensure that you can get fast, easy access to licensed taxi companies, and helps clamp down on unlicensed taxi drivers.
Every text to Cab Safe will cost you 50 pence.

Red Rover
If you’ll be travelling by bus in Gwynedd, it might be an idea for you to buy a red rover ticket. It’s a day ticket that allows you to travel as many times as you like on bus services within Gwynedd for that day.
It costs £6.80 for adults and £3.40 for children.

Young Persons Railcard
If you’re between 16 and 25 you can buy a young persons railcard. 
It costs £30 for a year and offers 1/3 off rail fares across Britain. 
The railcard also offers discounts off things like days out, hotels and much more. 
On avarage you could save up to £161 annually by buying and using the card.

16 + Travel Ticket
For £60 per term students can travel:
• To the local secondary school.
• Between addresses in Dwyfor, Meirionnydd, Coleg Llandrillo Dolgellau and Pwllheli, including Special Educational Needs courses.
• Between addresses in Arfon, Coleg Menai Parc Menai, Bangor, Llangefni and Caernarfon, including Special Educational Needs courses.
• Between anywhere in Gwynedd and Coleg Llandrillo Glynllifon.
• To any special school in Gwynedd.

For £100 per term
Students can travel between their home and any school or college in Gwynedd which is part of the scheme.
The scheme is only relevant to students who live and study within Gwynedd - except those travelling from Gwynedd to Coleg Menai Llangefni.
The scheme does not provide transport for Coleg Llandrillo Glynllifon residential students to get there at the beginning of the week. The College is responsible for this.

mytravelpass is a discounted travel scheme funded by Welsh Government providing people in Wales aged 16, 17 and 18 with 1/3 discount off their bus travel.

This is a pilot scheme which will run from 1st September 2015 until 31st March 2017.

Bus to Ysbyty Gwynedd and Wrexham from south Gwynedd

Gwynedd Council are working with the CIL De Gwynedd organisation trialling a bus scheme with transports people from south Gwynedd to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor and Ysbyty Maelor, Wrexham.

The on-call scheme travels from Barmouth to Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday. On Friday, the bus travels from Porthmadog to Ysbyty Maelor, Wrexham through Barmouth.

The service picks people up from the Barmouth area, starting at 11.30am, in order to arrive in Bangor by 1.30pm. It leaves Porthmadog on Friday so arrive at Ysbyty Maelor, Wrexham by 1.30pm and sets back for 3pm at the latest.

The journey cost is £1 each way and booking must be made in advance in order to get a place on the bus. To book a place, call 01766 514249 / 01766 510 112 or e-mail
